General Operations Employee
The Village of Springport is seeking a General Operations Employee. This is a full-time position with benefits. Pay to commensurate with experience.
GENERAL OPERATIONS EMPLOYEE SUMMARY
This position is that of a learning employee. The person must be capable of obtaining water
and wastewater licenses.
SALARY RANGE
The hourly rate for this employee shall be determined by Council
resolution.
SUPERVISION
Works under the direct supervision of the Village Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1). An employee in this position
may be called upon to do any or all of the following duties: Snow plow, mowing, streets administrator. However, his/her main duty is to become fully
acquainted the both the water and wastewater systems, with self-study to obtain
the necessary licensing preferred.
2). Assists other DPW employees
in completion of various tasks. Assists
in resolving emergency situations.
3). Assists in various minor
manual labor tasks as assigned or initiated.
4). Performs any other Village
tasks as requested by Village Manager.

▪Ability to run, crawl, climb and maneuver where physical mobility is
required to complete all duties.
▪Ability to work effectively with numbers.
▪Graduation, or equivalent, from an accredited high school or
equivalent.
▪Valid Michigan Commercial Driver License
