WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR
Full Time 40 hours/week
Wage $26.55/hour plus additional $0.30/hour with a Michigan wastewater operator license

JOB REQUIRMENTS:
Requires a Michigan EGLE Class D wastewater operator license, or obtained within three years of employment. The ability to obtain wastewater license achieved from accumulated time of on job experience. Applicant will work rotating jobs (Operation, Lab, Maintenance), work every third weekend (7am-11am), rotating holidays, and be available for alarm call outs. Ideal candidate would have strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills. Applicant must have the physical ability to work in all types of conditions, be able to operate hand and electric tools, and lift and carry up to 50lbs. Normal weekly day shift hours of 7am-3pm. This is a union position.
DUTIES PERFORMED:
Responsible for performing under the direction of the Chief Plant Operator the following activities:
5 day/week wastewater lab analysis according to NPDES permit.
Preventive and corrective maintenance.
Wastewater plant operation (2 MGD design RBC WWTP).
General housekeeping.
Available for alarm call outs.
Snow removal, and lawn care.
